Story Consequences
Follow a change through the story.
Explore a proposed change in an alternative draft, inspect its likely consequences and decide which adjustments serve the work.
Planned
Begin with a concrete question.
What if Mara discovers the key three chapters earlier? The planned workflow will identify relevant scenes and consider what the change could mean for knowledge, motivation, suspense and payoff.
See the reason for each finding.
A line that contradicts an established fact differs from a suggestion that suspense may weaken. The experience should make those distinctions explicit and link each finding to its source.
Keep the parts that work.
Compare proposals with the original, revise them yourself and accept selected changes. Discard an experiment without replacing the underlying manuscript.
